hey dude,
at the bottom right of the taskbar in win7 there should be "EN". this is the keyboard regional setting. make sure this is set to your location as different locations have different keyboard layouts.

It's completely legal from MS's side-as long as you register it/activate it with official beta keys. The only issue can be in your company's licence agreement, but since that is not the issue, you can install W7. Also you can install MS office and...
im sure this will be no problem really and windows vista when the install of sp2 occurred it broke my laptop nothing was working wifi sounds etc and wouldn't work really annoying and didn't look right windows 7 ftw
Yea makes sense. I figured though if he says he didn't like Vista and others were giving him other suggestions besides Windows 7 it was ok to throw Mac in the mix :P
its all good man, its that these mac vs pc threads are so common as soon as someone mentions one in anothers thread they get attacked.

lol right, and they only reason i didn't recommend mac was because i was assuming he was keeping the same computers.
hey don't point the finger at me Brian tried to plug in Ubuntu for you that wasn't part of the equation either if people are going to start throwing Linux around as recommendations you might as well throw Mac into the mix as well.

i have, and i didn't much like it. it wasn't any faster than my vista and i use classic theme so any effects and the stupid taskbar thing are useless.
theres always a fanboy tryin to plug osx! even when its got nothing to do with the question asked! jeeez!!!!!!

yea but it depends where you live. in australia or maby just queensland you aren't aloud to use os x or a mac but you can use a mac if while at work you only use windows.

Yes it's legal but "illegal" in terms of what your company policy allows. Where I work I can't even have vista :P only XP still :)
You could always put Mac OS X in your workplace as well B)
it would probably be legal, but i would b no means trust my work to a beta os. if you really cant stand vista (i wouldn't know why) than you might want to consider xp or ubuntu.
