What would I do with a Wii? Give it to my greatest and closest friend, Josh. That man is a Nintendo fanatic, and he has wanted a Wii for the longest time. However, college has taken its toll on his wallet, so he is stuck with a Gamecube. So, if I ...

Hmmm.....I forced Mozilla Firefox on all the schools computers my junior year in high school. Within a few months, all the computers in the school, teachers and all, saw how awesome it was and installed it of their own free will.

Top Five Butt-Kicking Female Hotties

Hot females in pop culture aren't hard to find. Finding one who could beat the crap out of anyone who gets in there way? Harder to find. Finding one who can beat the crap out of anyone and isn't a two-dimensional cardboard cut-out of a character? Even harder. That's why I've come to bring you a list of the top five butt-kicking females. There are a few rules to the list:

-They have to come from some facet of pop culture. Be it comics, movies, books, or TV.
-The characters themselves must also h… Continue

The Modern Theater

I love movies. More specifically, I love going to the movie theater. Something about the environment just takes me back to when I was younger. The seating, the people, the big screen, all of it combines to create a great feeling. This past weekend, I went with my girlfriend to do some shopping at a mall and to top off the night, we decided to go see a movie, in this case Oliver Stone's "W.". My excitement to see the movie ended at the ticket counter.

The tickets were $10 a piece for adults. Not… Continue

Geek Civil War

I recently began a thread in a forum that I frequent about making a Geek Confession. My confession was that I had never seen Alien or Aliens, and I was curious if anyone else out there had anything they thought might somehow hurt their "geek cred" as it were, but wanted to put it out in the open. I was flooded with responses ranging from never having read Harry Potter, to enjoying Spider-Man 3. I was glad to see I wasn't the only one, but it got me to thinking. It made me think about this sort o… Continue

Oh! And my general response to someone who hasn't seen something (say, a movie like Alien or Aliens or... I don't know. The Big Lebowski or Shaun of the Dead) that I consider crucial to a full life experience is: "Cool! You're lucky. You get to have that experience all fresh and new for the first time whenever you get around to it!" It's exciting -- not something worthy of scorn. No one knows everything (heck, few of us know anything)!

We go at our own pace. I once met someone who had never seen Star Wars! I'm sure she's gotten around to it by now (this was about 15 years ago), but at the time it just seemed... weird. Like we were looking at someone who'd confessed that she was a sea creature who only breathed air through highly technological apparatus beyond our ken. It was nearly impossible to fathom that she hadn't seen what most considered fairly ubiquitous.

Anyway, yeah. I guess I could've responded to this more succinctly with an "I agree!"

I agree!
