Our Lives With Technology

I will be the first to admit it, I couldn’t live without technology, and it helps me with everything I do daily. It has become more and more incorporated with our daily lives. When I am home I know that the internet is there, I know I have access to more information than I can possibly use in my lifetime and I know that when I need it I can call upon that information to help me. Now let’s say for instance your ISP (internet service provider) goes down what do you do? Your access has just been cu… Continue

Well soon we will be adding one more to this ever going list of excellent web based services, Google Chrome OS that's right Google is currently developing an OS of its own class. This OS will most likely be free and all APS for it are said to be web based this means total cross platform compatibility sense the web is everywhere, and yes if you are thinking about the iPhone it will mo… Continue

Social Networking and Social Media

There is no point in acting like technology has not changed the way we not only communicate but also how we interact be it some one our block or on the otherwise of the world. This is what we describe as social networking and social media. Twitter is one of the grander examples of networking, myspace facebook friend feed and countless others as well. As humans we have a need for interaction with others. It has been said by some that they know someone in another state or even country better than… Continue

The Importance Of Backing Up

We hear about it all the time but it is something to consider carefully, how do you back up, where do you back up for that matter. These should be the two biggest questions you ask yourself. You have to back up regularly to ensure that if all goes wrong you have something recent to fall back on. You also have to have a very stable source to backup to. I recommend two things on site and off site back up. On site is when you back up to an external hard drive or server. Off site is when you either… Continue

Well, I have my own group so it would be unfair to say but besides "Cooks in the Basement" I like the Mac group, the Rush Group, and Twitter group best. And these feelings change every week. I too am in about 10, which is down from 17, cause I simply was not going to em anymore. When no one comments in more than a month, it's time to go.
