True but its really because people have a false security about physically backed monetary instruments. Really, when you look at the situation, gold is only valuable because so many people want it for various reasons. Simple supply and demand.
When you mention mom just using your name that brings back moments of fear. For my mom if she used my full name I better run away and avoid it or I better have an awesome excuse. Neither course of action ever worked.
The most hateful name my mom has called me is my middle name 'Eugene'
It's the way she says it, the inflection in her voice could mean anything from "I'm going to hurt you!" to "What the hell are you doing?!"

What's the Worst Thing that Your Mom has Called you or Said to You?
My mom has been generally nice and has cut herself off at only calling me a "F$%^ing a$$hole." I know that can't be the worst thing that has ever happened so I'm kinda wondering and wanting to hear the stories.
