What kind of geek are you?: a home, hobby geek, pc's and home gadgets, mobile phones as well

Why do you consider yourself a geek?: I have been interested in tech since late 70's have built all the pc's I own

How did you find out about our Geek community?: Chris pirillo.com

What are your "geeky equipment" specs?: 4 home built pc's. old equipment including a working sinclair zx81 and zx spectrum with an old prism vtx5000 modem!!
Mobile phone (nokia n958Gb), sky+ and other geeky stuff.

What do you want to be when you grow up?: I never want to grow up :-)

What makes you laugh?: Watching my dogs playing, Staffies are the funniest, loveliest dogs ever

What is the thing in life you treasure most?: Gadgetwise: my mobile phone, otherwise: my family

What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?: too many to mention. I was the first person in my social circle to connect to the internet (1987) get a mobile phone, get a pc, get broadband.

What do you do to entertain yourself?: swim, walk the dogs and twitter (ydnab40)

Favorite music, movies, books, shows, artists, games, people, events, hobbies, etc.?: All Tolkien books, Kate Bush, Bjork, monopoly, beer and wine making. My Nokia N958gb. Planning to get my foundation amateur radio licence later this year

What is the next big thing on the web?

As a geek I rely on Chris Pirillo, Leo Laporte, Robert Scoble et al to alert me to what they believe will be the next big thing long before most people have even discovered it's existence. However, they all seem to have gone pretty quiet recently, aside from Scoble's enthusing about Friendfeed. Is this just because there is nothing new out there, or have they all fell asleep?

Why is tech so user un-friendly?

This is a bit of a rant. Now, I am a geek. I am a gadget lover, I have loads of time and energy I am prepared to put towards the pursuits of gadgets and geekiness. However, even I have times where my patience is pushed to it's limits!! Today was one example...

Nokia ngage, why no on-line gameplay?

Something I do a lot is to install software, use it for a bit, then get bored and not use it for a while. Usually, after 6 months or so, I go back to it and start using it manically. I did this with Twitter, I even did it with Geeks!!

I've been featured!!

Well, looks like I've been "featured" (whatever that means) while I have been sleeping!! God, I love the internet!! The only place things can actually happen while you sleep!!
