Milford, Connecticut is about 1 hour Northeast of NYC. It is a small community that has 2 towns and a river on either end of it before you get to a larger city (Bridgeport & New Haven). Almost everyone in Southwestern CT comes to Milford to do their shopping. We have almost every kind of store that you can think of. Its nickname is "The Biggest Little Town in Connecticut".
I originally grew up in the Bronx, NYC, NY and always swore that there would be no toll bridges in between my home and NYC. This was because the last few years that I lived in NY my place of employment was for the longest time either in Queens, NY or Nassau County, NY which are both on Long Island where every bridge has a toll and the traffic backs up terribly.
I love my big little town except for one thing. Every time I need to go to a store I have to jump into my car. When i lived in the Bronx I could just walk a few city blocks to get there.
