i think it is but its not gonna knock iphone if its lead it has mostly everything better then the phone but apple still has the app store that everyone knows and loves

I'm kind of anti-jailbreaking myself. I mean, whoopdedoo you can get free apps and customize special aspects. I don't think it's worth risking a crashed iPhone or ruining the warranty. Besides, it's been deemed illegal I believe.
I only have experience with the iphone 3G on the Mac platform. I used redsn0w which can be found on the left side of the page of the link above. I have also used pwnage tool. Those I used for the 3.0 firmware. When I had the 2.2.1 firmware I used qw…

- in your question on jailbreak which is legal by the way. it is a great idei did it to my phone, and was worth it. the new featues you get are great. the ui becomes much better with some simple addons. the phone will sync to itunes the same way. the only thing you need to wory about is of there is an update to itunes make sure it works with a jailbroken iphone. I have had an issue with syncing contacs, but you can manualy copy the contact file from the phone to your computer as a back up. This problem usualy dosn't happen, and i think it happened because somthing is wrong with my outlook.
