351, 302's were known for low end tourque but mustangs with the 351's had narrower crankshaft which gave out less tourque and higher speeds. For some resone auto zone couldn't find a f-150 ranger with a 351 so they had to look up the engine seperatly and found lot's of mustang models with that engine. They just so happen to have all the part's in stock and it was very popular. So I got a rebuilt altenator and box for 20$! They work very well and I haven't had it backfire once since the fix.

Yea someone had a new mustang with a durateck engine and blew it after a week :( But my clevland is still running strong :)

The engine I don't like are the duratecks, there very cheaply made and don't last very long.

I don't really think the winsor is a pos because my brother's truck has one now that I think of it. It's a ver powerful truck too, he's pulled out a lot of big tree's with it.

If you look up a youtube video calle cement in a engine you will see a video that talks about oil and I think the engine is a ford :)

351 clevland? I have one too :) Very powerful motor, if it wasn't for the really bad suspention on my truck (which was jumped with) I could get the front end off the ground, but unfortunatly the wiring is replaced with lamp cord and the fuses are tinfoil that gives a good shock. The truck when I got it only had the engine hooked up, no radio, blinkers, or ac.

For some resone the t-birds always had thinner heads and the oxygen sensors would get clogged cousing the car to blow smoke. A simple removal of the sensor and turning it off helops.

Hey nice bird! My brother has a t-bird Lx with a OHC v8 with a K&N air filter and 3" dual exaust with a x pipe in the middle. It survived a big roll over and is tough as nails! It has a new pain job and cumo racing tires. The rear tires are far from stock and barrely fit, he burned out through 2 gears and squaked at 3rd when the car was doing 30! but the only thing you have to wach out for is the head gaskets and the oxygen sensor.

Ok. 5c0073r, you need not have reinstalled xp when you did this just run the things below and then come out. Still you say you already installed xp again already so it's probably just knocked out your sound card drivers and installed windows own drivers (which are not always good) you can easily fix that by reinstalling the appropriate drivers for the sound card you have. Type in the name of the sound card on google with the word drivers and you should find plenty of sites with the appropriate driver for free. If they want you to pay for it try a different site.

Still stuck withg the problem of having to boot eith the instasll XP disk in the drive. that one i just cant figure out. A friend of mine who also builds these things (but doesnt live close) rattled off some stuff about there being a setting somewhere to deal with this but EEek, I sure didn't understand what he was trying to tell me or just where to find this thing.

Possible solution for you...
1 Go into the Boot Sector and make the PC boot from CD.
2 Save settings and Reboot.
3 When the PC reboots from the CD go to Recovery Console by pressing R.
4 There is no Password (unless you added one yourself) so just press Enter.
5 When the C:\Windows
appears, type in Dir to get a list of possible commands if you wish to do other than fix the Hard Drive problem.
6 Use FixBoot to repair the Boot Sector.
7 Use FixMBR to repair a missing MBR.
8 Use ChkDsk to check the Hard Drive.
9 Type Exit to leave the Repair Console.
10 Return to the Boot Sector and return it to its previous state of Booting from the Hard Drive.
11 Save the Boot settings again and reboot.

It fixed it for me as I had the same problem with having to leave the OS disk in the dvd drive bay. Hope it works for you as well. Good luck.
