Share 'Webcam recording software: What is out there?'

I would like to start my vlog's again while I wait for my Logitch Quick Cam Pro 9000. But I will need adequate software to recored. It has to be free. So my fellow geeks what have you used and would you recommend it? I have tried a number of programs but they have only let my record 5mins max. I love this Social network! I feel so at home.
