Share 'DUAL MONITORS'

I have my Macbook5,1 , to the Display-Port , to a VGA cord to a Monitor. Easy enough but want to go out and buy another monitor. Anyways I want to have both these extra monitors connect to my laptop thus having three screens total. I need to know two things, one if I buy this nifty little cord online called a VGA splitter , and just plug it in and everything in will it work just fine? I mean can…
