ok i have windows 7 installed obviously and i am just sitting around with my laptop and then the screen bar's soo this is when the screen being shows just turns into horrizontal bars and then quickly restarts the computer

now there is one reason i have come up with and this is in relation too ram when ram gets too hot does this happen

when i wanted too do a clear look into what not to do with an open computer soo i just grabbed a very old pc and then started doing things when it was plugged in i have seen the same thing after the hard drive was moved around could this be the problem?

the only thing to mention is that this has never happened in the horror which is vista so i am now rather curious as too what has changed for my laptop to do this with the windows 7

Maybe your hard drive is loose then?

Try making sure that everything is seated properly.

Are you moving around when this is happening? If so, then it's very possible that something is loose.

this is a good suggestion and i might check into that but as far as i can recall every time this has happened the laptop has been stationary

this just happened to me again coming out of sleep mode this is the time when this occurs the most while coming out of sleep mode but because of this i am leading my self to the conclusion that heat does not play any part in this as previously as a symptom at one or two of these occurrences if any one could tell me of any similar problem they have had with windows 7 installed?

if no one can really come up with a similar story i will look into more detail onto seating of my ram hard drive etc.

If it's doing it when it comes out of sleep mode, I'd lean more towards a software issue. Maybe a reformat and reinstall will fix it.

But you should try to reseat your stuff before doing that. No need for unnecessary headaches.

It is possible that you are experiencing heat issues, but I agree with the others there might be something loose. If you are sure that every connector is secure, then the next step would be to do a possible re-install. With 7 being RC1, there may be some capability issues yet.
