Matt Ranta from Vann's has started a new Vann's group on Geeks which includes RSS feeds of their top sellers and current coupons/deals. Matt has also given us exclusive access to a special "Garage Sale" page at Vann's that has even been released to the general public yet. The "Garage Sale" page is updated on a daily basis and includes the lowest prices on one-of-a-kinds, end-of-line or open-box items.

To help grow the group's membership, Vann's will be giving away a 1GB iPod Shuffle ($49 value) to a random group member, every time 250 members join the group. This means there will be a giveaway at 250 members, 500 members, 750 members and so on. I've been a big fan of Vann's for awhile now (I bought my xBox 360 there) and one of the best things about them is that they have free shipping with $50 purchase and no sales tax. Well you don't have to pay sales tax if you're not one of the 957,000 people that live in Montana. ;-)

Hey Todd,

There's no sales tax in Montana either - so nobody that shops with us has to pay sales tax!

For real i got to move there. Is there sale tax for online sales

Reply to This

Nope. No sales tax for online sales, either. Property taxes are higher - that's where they get us. And we've got sin taxes - alcohol and tobacco. There are people proposing a sales tax but we always shoot them down.

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to report purchases you make online that have no sales tax on your own state income tax and pay it then. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23351894/
(except in Montana!)

No Sales Tax in Montana? If Oregon (which also has no sales tax) wasn't so close I'd be taking a road trip! ;-)

Yay for living in Oregon :-) No sales tax, and I even whipped out my ID a few times over the weekend while I was in Washington so I wouldn't have to pay them ever!!

Cool, didn't know you could do that. Wish I lived a little closer to the border (I'm 2+ hours away), so I could take advantage of it more often. I was just down in Portland over the weekend, but I was too busy to go shopping... :-)
