The price is a shocker. Cheaper than the Sony A900 and the Nikon D700. I'm going to wait for the D700 price to drop as I think 12MP is enough. The problem with 21MP is noise reduction and ISO. If you are doing more studio work where you need a big megapixel camera to blow up pictures, go for the Sony or Canon. If you're shooting mainly stock images then the Nikon would be nice.

I have some old full frame nikon lenses so it makes sense for me to go full frame with Nikon. I don't believe in wasting the lenses which are pretty good even by today's standard.

I am just happy to get a hold of the 50D. I cant afford the 5D mK2 and a macbook pro. So the 50D will do for my work. The camera though looks amazing and under 3k is one of the biggest shockers I have seen ever. For such a camera being full frame and have 1080i..... Amazing. Still pricey for me but hay I want a macbook pro and a 50D so yea.
