Shutter Geeks is for the photographer in all of us. We don't care if you're an amateur or a pro, a Nikon or Canon user, digital or film, we want you!

Let me start: my name is Jennifer Tai, I live in rainy, character-rich Seattle and I take pictures of people! I have a photog and it's at www.jennifertai.net. I just started doing this as a business (taking pictures not building photogs) and would love to meet more shutter geeks from around Seattle and the world. I also have a Flickr page at www.flickr.com/photos/jennemede and you can find me on Facebook and Twitter and Plurk and Pownce and Rejaw (look for "Jennifer Tai" or "jennemede"). Not JUST a shutter geek ;)

Sorry I haven't been updating and posting as much. Work has been busy, with school starting for my kids. I promise to be more vigilant!

This week's Featured Stream is Megan E, a young photographer who's already had quite a few images that made Flickr's Explore. Her creativity, skill, angles and strobe work is just insane esp. because she's using - voila - a Rebel XT and a couple of Vivitar 285s. Go over and give this young lady some love. She deserves it!

I got this face paint done at operation graduation last night (this morning) and the guy that did it, mike, did a really good job so I figured it was a good opportunity to make a creative photo with it. why not?

I'm going to start doing more photos that arent portraits because I'm getting sick of them!

This photo is a few months old but I'm about to enter it in a local contest and I thought I'd upload it because I don't think I have.

I had a great day, wen downt to Houston for the texas media awards ceremony and got first place in digital photography for 9-12 and best in show. I got a trophy for best in show too :D it's pretty neat. AND my flash meter came. It's so easy to use. I love it. I can't wait to use it tomorrow :)

I've always been into photography; someday hopefully I'll have the ability to travel around and snap some great shots with a decent camera. =) I tried linking a picture but for some reason it didn't work.
