Does a core i7 count as an intel quad core?
Bret Spector Comment by Bret Spector on April 27, 2009 at 8:35pm
Yeah. I love quad cores. Who doesn't. Even though most software doesn't even take advantage of all four cores. That's why people see it as something of a waste. I see it as preparing for the future. And that's a good investment ...n my book/

Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 @ 2.66GHz. From what I see here, not the fastest, but it gets the job done.

I'm running two Core2 Extreme QX9775's (Skulltrail) at 4.0ghz on air.
also have a Q6600 at 4.0ghz running on Chilled water. This my 2nd Q6600 first one was fried after pushing it to 5.0ghz on a suicide run at Quakecon.

Q6600 is the still most popular chip around and I'm still braking records with it.

I HAVE Q6600 TOO
Trey Comment by Trey on February 1, 2009 at 7:29am
The QX6600 is a good little cpu, 4mb of cache and a lot of room for overclocking make it a great choice for bargain performance.

I have been looking around in some peoples profiles and discussions in the forum.
It seems that the Q6600 CPU is popular.
