Best Directories to submit Podcast feed

So, I've been looking for for places to submit my podcast feed other than iTunes. I've found some of the big ones like Podcast Alley and Odeo but I'm wondering if there are any more obscure ones that people use.

Another Question, Do people really use other directories other than iTunes on a consistent enough basis to make it worth it to submit to them?

There are a lot of them out there. I did heavy digging on it a bout 3 years past and I am re-exploring atm. May be several weeks to a month before I am done but podcast pickle comes to mind off the top of my head. The one thing that seems to matter most is to just keep producing content. The more content I produce the more dls I get. Just that simple.

I did just start doing a "pick of the day" over at lockergnome. Despite the fact that the direct download link is not readily visible, I am still having like 7-12 podcast downloaded per day since I started the project the first of this month.

I feel the real key is content and consistent... not that I am that good at it.; ▶ Reply to This
