Meant to put something up about this a long time but have been busy as Hades. My nick name is Lumpy and I do The LumpCast, which features podsafe music. Formerly, I did Radiostatic, which was a tech news and music cast. I just started doing some live streaming but it is still mostly about the music.
If any of you have a promo and want it put into the stream or one of my future shows message me.
I'm Jason. My podcast, which has not officially debuted yet, is called The Experimental JetSet.
It's meant to be an entertaining podcast where my co-host Sean and I talk about geek related topics. I'm also looking to do interviews with people who are doing other geek related things on the web and talk about their experiences starting up their projects and future plans.
I want it to be interactive with the audience and incorporate listener recorded segments as well.
I aired your promo on my last Podcast. Also, when you get a chance look over live.lumpyscorner.com. I can add your promo to the play list rotation but I would like you to tell me how you want your information to appear in the now playing script.
Thanks for playing the promo! That was awesome. I guess I would want the information to appear as The Experimental JetSet and maybe with the address thejsetcast.com
Also, as an update, I finally released my first episode of the show.
Listening to your first podcast as I type. If you are looking for breakfast places in the greater Cleveland area you might like to try The Red Chimney on Fleet. They have a long history of being a breakfast place.
BTW did you know that the state of Ohio is Second only to Texas for number of bridges?
Thanks LJ, I appreciate it! Yeah, I do everything myself. I'm a one man band at this point.
The time it takes is still fluctuating. I'm still working on the best way to do everything plus I'm still learning After Effects. I just used it for the first time two weeks ago.
But as of right now I'd say it's about 2 hours for recording the video and the audio for screenshots combined, 1 hour for editing, about 4 hours post production(greens screen keying, animating screenshots, syncing audio, etc) , and then 2 hours to sit and wait for the huge video file to render out.
I started it a year ago because I love the meditations and wanted to inspire myself - and others - while learning how to podcast. I have tried various microphones etc. and am still searching for the right set-up. Right now I just talk into my Mac mic using GarageBand (lol). Pretty simple ... I have had over 5,000 visitors to the site .. and like Podbean as the platform - they give pretty good statistics. I would be open to any suggestions and plan on doing a video promo - at your suggestion - soon.
Hi Lumpy!
I have two casts - The-Broad-Cast is irregular and random. It's girl chatter. We talk about stuff. It's over two years old now, but I think we only have like 50 shows. lol
My second is the Beat Chicks. A podcast about Musicians in Second Life who perform on a regular basis. It's 50% interview & 50% live music.
I'm LJ. I run a podcast called the mashedbuttons GAMECAST. It's tied in to my blog/social news site mashedbuttons.com. It is a rather adult oriented take on video game news. Adult as in swearing, not as in porn. Me and my buddy break down the weeks gaming news. I've been doing it for 6 months now.
Mostly it's just us reading the news, however we're always looking for guest hosts or people to interview.
Cool topic. My podcast is an hour of "polka" music, accordion music, and other oldies. http://www.pwrm.co.nr/
It's non profit, and songs are sent to me by contributing bands and musicians. Contains mispronunciations, birthday dedications, tributes, shout outs.
Merry Christmas.
Kewl... I love to promote indie artists myself and I was a guitarist in a polka band at one time... most people don't really grasp how quick polka moves.
We just started last week, but we are already enjoying it. We discuss current technology headlines in a laid back and fun environment. Stop by and check it out.
