At most you could upgrade to 2gigs of memory. Your motherboard does not support more than that.

There is a big difference between 1 and 2 gigs especially for with Photoshop and video editing because the files are loaded into memory for editing. If you don't have enough memory it uses the hard disk for "extra" memory and it is very very slow.

Being honest... save your money and build a new PC with a better processor and more ram.

Well thanks. . . I guess thats what I will have to do. I really like the case. Its a Antec. I suppose the guts can be upgraded.

Yeah..,. if you have a nice case and a good PSU you can just pull the guts. Its a pain, but a sad reality for computers. I can help you price out some good stuff on NewEgg if you need help.

Oh great! I will definitely get back to you. . about that. . . i need to decide on how much am i willing to spend.

Thank you!

Definitely making a good choice here :-) Since you already have the case, you could buy a much better computer than what you have for a few hundred dollars. Not cheap, I know, but definitely better than it once was! I built a really good gaming rig for only $700, which was unheard of even 5 years ago.

I have to agree with indigo. The bus speed for that CPU is only 133MHz most now are 1000MHz or better.
