Auto Complete word suggestion feature

Does anyone know if there's a way to turn off that auto suggest word feature?
I am just so tired of accidentally hitting the accept for a word they thought I
wanted,..you look like a jerk in chat situations having like "western" type out instead of "weather"..looks like you are drunk typing for people that don't know I am on my iTouch.
