STSS Demonstrators Program-Missle Defense Agency Launch SCRUBBED AGAIN!

STSS Demonstrators Program is a midcourse tracking technology demonstrator and is part of an evolving ballistic missile defense system. STSS is capable of tracking objects after boost phase and provides trajectory information to other sensors. To be launched by NASA for the Missile Defense Agency.

I'm gonna try to be up and out in the road to see if I can get some pictures of it to post.

BTW, I'm new to the group but only live 100 miles from the Cape. Launches are usually clearly visable from the road in front of my house.

Space shuttle Atlantis' crew members visited NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Friday to familiarize themselves with some of the equipment they'll use during their mission to service the Hubble Space Telescope. Next week, the astronauts will continue their training activities at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.

On Thursday afternoon, Atlantis arrived at Kennedy's Launch Pad 39A following its slow trek from the Vehicle Assembly Building. The shuttle assembly was secured at the pad at 3:52 p.m. EDT, more than six hours after the rollout began.

Atlantis is targeted to launch Oct. 10 on mission STS-125.

This will be the final mission to the Hubble Telescope.
