What Operating system do you Use, and Why?

No slander of other operating systems; Just why do you Like it?

I personally use Windows Vista and Windows 7. I Like windows 7 a lot better than my windows Vista, but still. I use both of them for compatability with the work I need to do for my networking degree.

Getting a Mac reasonably soon for said networking degree; but Looking forward to that as well.

Virtually run (or attempted to) FreeBSD, Ubuntu, OpenSUSE 11.1 and Crunchbang

On VMware you can run FreeBSD, Ubuntu, OpenSUSE 11.1and windows 7 on each display. I hear they make wine and wine door for Mac to you should look into that.; ▶ Reply to This

I also use Linux, specialy Arch Linux. I use it for my server and on my laptop and I am going to make a dual boot on my desktop =:

But I refuse to give a damn what OS anyone else is running. It is like being annoyed that someone does not eat the same flavor of Ice Cream. Permalink Reply by Veronica on July 26, 2009 at 11:10am: I have XP and Vista. Because Vista can go to 8GB of RAM, I prefer it over XP which can only handle 3 GB of RAM. Otherwise the two OS are very similar with only a few subtle differences between one and the other, and most of those are new features which I also prefer on Vista. (Example the Vista display adaptor auto detects, configures and sends the secondary display monitor which is a time saving plus for a portable laptop that is constantly being taken from one AV (Audio Visual) system to another).

So currently I prefer Vista, especially for my mobile intensive laptop working environment.; ▶ Reply to This

On my netbook im currently using Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix. the reason?
