I've tried a lot of online games. I was playing Runescape for quite a while, but stopped because everything is so small. I need to be able to see what I am doing. lol! Right now I am playing Perfect World International. So much better!! I am very happy with this one. It is free, of course. I only play the free games. Being a housebound disabled widow means being on a very tight budget. But being housebound, I do need my internet connection, so I give up on some things to have it. Anyway, that is why I only look for free games.
I don't know of any free ones, but I mostly play LOTRO. I'm on a tight budget as well and this game gives me the biggest bang for my buck. 19.95 download and 9.99 per month. Waaaayyyy cheaper than WOW and no pervs to dodge.
Shame about the mob trash you have to wade through between towns. I knew AmTrack. He used to try and create the longest train of enemies possible. Once he had a train all the way through Mordor.
For me, $9.99 a month is too much. I gave up being a paid member on Pogo, which I really loved, after my husband died. It rots being a widow. Not only do we lose a very important loved one, but our finances change drastically. I play online games for my sanity, but it has to be free.
I tried Last Chaos today. For some reason, I'm having a problem. Maybe lag? My movements, when I'm not frozen, are very jerky and uncontrollable. I won't uninstall it yet. I want to keep trying. Maybe I will find a time of day it isn't too laggy.
I have played a lot of free MMORPGs... I have played Flyff, RF online (wasn't free first but did get that later... but now sadly the servers is going down...) Some other games that are free is Rappelz, Rose online. There are a lot of Korean games that have been translated to english that is going by the idea of free game with items you can buy for real money! I think this is a great idea and everyone that makes MMORPG should use this model... Latest mmo that I tested was Perfect World and seems to be the most popular free game right now...
I played Flyff for awhile, but it didn't hold my interest. I played ASDA Story, but also lost interest in that. I haven't tried Rappelz or Rose Online, I saved them to try at a later date. In Magic World Online after all the trouble of downloading and installing, I did not like it. I couldn't even see my character, everything was so small!! But I am playing Perfect World and that is holding my interest a bit longer than most. I like it that the graphics are not too small. Ad it is not only young children playing, as in most. I have met some adults. And so far, I have only met 1 rude person. So, for now, I am happy with Perfect World.
I think I've spent a long time playing games, both on and offline. I miss the ones which didn't make it like Auto Assault. I'm going to miss Tabula Rasa.
As for the free ones, I was looking at A tale in the Desert. This one is mostly a crafter/trader game. Voyage Century Online, Grando Espada (where you control a 'family' of 3 characters - interesting game)
Rose was ok, but getting up as far as the cars is a 100 hour grind. And I didn't get that far. Give Grando Espada a look. It has some interesting dungeons.
