Home Server

Okay I know this is a hardware forum, but I was just wondering if anyone here has used Windows Home Server. Is it worth the money or should I just go with a Linux machine and use the extra money for more storage? I have both Macs and PCs, so interfacing with both is a requirement. What do you guys think?
