Wow, another group that is left in the dust. Where is everyone? Microsoft is kicking butt. We have the New OS Windows 7, the new Zune HD, Xbox of course, new Microsoft stores around the corner, and the Microsoft Courier in the works which looks amazing! Let's get this group hopping again shall we!

w00t!!! Seems the Principal and Assistant Superintendant were pretty receptive. The Principal is making the Apple lover part time computer tech for the school order Netbooks! The clown even wears clothes with Apple logos and such. I heard he's requested a transfer to another school, lol!!!! I guess my demonstration was pretty effective. I hooked my netbook up to the digital projector in the staff room during their meeting and showed them how easy it is to use. Plus, to use it YOU DON"T NEED AN ADAPTOR. They loved that little bit too. What's even better is that I was able to present the Netbook idea to the schoolboard and the Superintendant. Looks like the whole district my be dumping thier MacBooks!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!1!!!!11!!

Today I'll be taking my Asus Netbook to my wife's school to demonstrate it to the principal and the the visting Assistant Superintendant. I think right now would be the perfect time to finally get the schools to stop buying Apple computers. The netbooks would be mainly for the teachers, they have to lug around huge Mac Books. I'd recommend somthing like what I have the ASUS 900HA, 8.9" screen @1024x600, 1.6 Ghz Intel Atom (a baby P4 w/ HT pretty much), 160GB HDD, 3USB 2.0 ports, exteral VGA for a projector, a 5 hour battery life, and finally of course WINDOWS XP. I think I can get them to change over now since I've known the Assistant Superintendant for a long time...he was my elementary school principal. Plus the budget crisis will really get them thinking..."do we really want to spend $1200 per laptop that has a limited amount of available software, hardly upgradabe, fall apart in about a year, and if data is lost is pretty expensive to recover?"
