Hello All, i have trained in Kenpo, Wing Chun, Taiji, and Pekiti-Tirsia, and really enjoy the latter because of its weapons emphasis. Enjoy hearing from others with similar interests.

Greetings everyone, I have trained in various arts, and a combination thereof my father taught me. Although I will not limit my classification to a "style" I have been dedicated in at least 2 hours per day since 1981.

I have trained with Kung Fu, Wu Shu, Tae Kwon Do, and Kenpo. I haven't trained in about 6 years but I trained all through my military years. I found that over all, Kenpo was the most effective and simplest to effectively pull off in a tight stressful condition.

That is for me. If you pick any martial art and train properly, you can use any style or form for defense. The trick is to practice and perfect the basics, because that is what you usually only get time to use during a real fight.

My 2 cents. Anyone else?

Did you find jeet kun do or wing chun more effective in a real fight?
I am trying to decide what to study

so....who does what?. Time for intros me thinks....
I practice Jeet kune do, wing chun, Yang Tai Chi Chuan as well as boxing and kickboxing, been teaching and training on and off over 10 years now.
