I like Mac because its easy to use even though I am pretty good with computers its still really nice to just be able to do everything without hassle
Backing up programs is easy and installing is easier.
I like how everything is so integrated in Mac
I like Windows because you have a wide range of programs and A LOT of games!
Its fun to mess with and it can do a lot more then Mac even though Mac can usually do it better.
I like windows because.......well its been the only O.S. that I've really used. A lady i do work for used to have mac and it took me a bit to get adjusted but i figured out what to do...but from that i must say windows right now
i like windows because
1. i like to build computers
2. i game
3. the software and driver compatibility is endless
4. its not proprietary i/e limit to only specific hardware and make it difficult ti install various apps.
5. very user friendly, whether you are a senior citizen with no experience or a programmer, you will have no trouble figuring things out.
6. amd amd amd amd amd, am i clear?
7. you buy windows because you have something you want to accomplish and be productive, not to be "stylish" or "cool"
8. windows vista runs like a dream on a moderately built pc, anyone who says its slow probably had like one thing that wouldn't work or was running it on a 5 year old computer or simply doesn't like change. they are used to their xp and don't want to learn a new os.
9. windows releases service packs every few months for free to fix issues, unlike mac who just waits a while and releases a slightly better version for 200 bucks.
Pretty much spot on. I love building computers too and there's so much you can do with PCs, Apple takes the liberty of being creative for you, thanks, but I have my own personality.
Gaming is a good benefit, although i wish some console games existed for PC (like fighting games: MK, Street fighter, Soul Caliber, etc.) but definitely mouse and keyboard FTW.
Easy to use for sure, I'm an Art major and we mainly use iMacs in the labs, they have some nice features but some things just seemed awkward like: renaming a folder on the desktop, right click menu didn't have the "rename" option, but then i found that double clicking slowly did it, nice easy concept but i like right click better because i don't want to accidently open the file by clicking, just dumb things like this are enough to make me feel uncomfortable. And windows explorer is definitely more clear, and NTFS FTW.
Vista runs well on a moderately built PC, Win7(beta 7000) runs on my PIII Compaq surprisingly well, i'm excited. and free service packs and new OS every 5ish years for $300 is definitely better than version .1, .2, .3, .4, .5, etc. every 1.5 yrs for $200 each.
And finally, having the option of using AMD is also great, although I still prefer Intel.
Its so much fun to put together an old wreck from discarded parts, load up Winodws XP Pro and watch the little buggar come to life. I've lost count of how many times I have done this. Also with new computers as well. I LOVE Windows.

I like the Mac OS better than Windows in general. I think that Vista deserves more credit than it doesn't get, but I like OS X because it's just easy to use and it's extremely responsive. But I like Windows because you can play many a more games and because there are some programs that work better on Windows or that only work on Windows vs Mac. I like to use them both for different reasons and at times there's really not one that I would prefer over the other.
I more preffer Mac OS X. One year ago i bought myself a MacBook with Intel Core 2 Duo 2,2Ghz processor 1Gb ram (i upgraded to 4) 160Gb SATA HD and so on...and it works very well and i am happy with it.
Now at 1Th Anniversary that i buy my first Mac computer i will buy iMac.
