Actually, my Windows 7 only cost 30 dollars, but that was a student discount. I do love Mac more, but also love high end PC's running Windows. However, I hated Vista. I liked what they tried to do. I have been using Windows 7 RC and RTM on a few machines and love it. It is on my Bootcamp partition on my Mac, which I also launch as a virtual machine via parallels desktop 4.0. I'm also a Linux fan, and usually stay with Ubuntu because of all he awesome features and fun you can have with it. I'm not really Against any platform. There are things I love and hate with all platforms, but what I do love is they all inspire as well as challenge each other. Each version of each platform, always gets better. (Windows ME and Vista not included).

In reference to the relationship to Linux and Mac, well, BSD was the source from which Unix, Linux, and OS X come from, as mentioned by other posts. I have to say that this has aided me in learning the hidden power user features in OS X fast, because I've already done this in Unix, Linux, and BSD. For me, my Mac is my favorite system though.

What do you mean "$2000 just to stay up to date"? Snow Leopard will be $30 vs. whatever crap Windows 7 will be charging.

Alec you surely don't know what you are talking about. Since when does MAC OS X come from LINUX?? ROFL don't make me fucking laugh! Mac OS X and LINUX come FROM UNIX fuckface.
Oh the Mac attitude?YES you can edit your OS, If you know Apple Script you can customize your Mac OS and YES i can write low-range software ,fucking cunt... for example Python(which I'm learning atm), I can control or write programs with it. The only thing you need is XCode(it is free and it comes inside the Mac OS X leopard DVD or you can download it from the Apple Website), a simple configuration and that's it. ready for action -_-'
So stfu b4 pretending you know what you are talking about...

I don't know if this is the right place for me since I'm on both sides.
I have a dual boot of Mac OS X and Windows Vista(Would prefer XP but I dont want to take the time :D)
But I think Mac is WAY more intuitive and easy to use.
While Windows can play many more games and run a lot more programs/applications but the Mac applications are MUCH better and nicer then the Windows programs even though Windows has a bigger variety and range

mac is not better its just easear to oparate for people who dont know how to do anything with a pc or even know how dos works also the macs have no upgrade disk so every 10 years you have 2 pay another what $2000 just to stay up to date. pcs have upgrade disk so its cheaper to work with. my opinion only
