Hi, I just watched your video on the changes to Win7. You can speed up the responsiveness of any Windows Start Menu by editing the registry, but then you guys probably already knew this from previous versions of Tweak UI. Anyway onto Win7...
When I used the new Task Bar, and I set it to remember a bunch of files I use a lot by Pinning them to Word (which I also have Pinned to the Task Bar) a few days later it had lost them all again, argh so annoying, I hope they fix it in the finale release.
I also had issues with the right click menu and Windows Explorer would suddenly crash just because I right clicked on a desktop icon to either get Crap Cleaner to empty the bin or tell a program to run in Admin mode. If they fix those two things on the final release I will be very happy with it. At the moment it takes running Crap Cleaner program to check for registry errors and correcting them before it will run correctly again. Sometimes I even have to run Crap Cleaner and also reboot to get it back to normal. I guess something is being lost in memory or not picked up in the first place that it needs to do the job of a right click, which is a pretty minor task and shouldn't realy happen. Im no expert but this is going to be a big issue if they don't correct it, since most of the things you do on a Win7 OS need a right click to get to them.
Other than those couple of niggles I love the new Win7 and am trying to persuade my wife to give up her beloved XP32bit to run a copy on her machine, but she is pretty resistent to change on her machines. I could understand that with Vista since it had such a slower response time than XP did but Win7 is pretty quick for all the flashy things it has to deal with in Aero Glass mode. Still turning off Aero would improve its speed some on less powerful machines.

I really think it's a major upgrade from vista, the only down side is if your not upgrading from xp or vista it costs full price. It's 80$ full price and the upgrade from xp/ vista is 30$ :)
