Alright guys n' gals...need you all to rally here. I just joined Geeks a few days ago, and already, I've been CENSORED! First I was asked to take the photos I uploaded down as they were deemed "inappropriate for a G-Rated" site.
I did, however, leave my profile pic up and was asked just this morning, that that, too, had to be replaced, otherwise my account would be deleted.
What do you all think? Were these photos really "inappropriate"?
I too must agree with you. Although I am glad that I read these posts BEFORE I posted my pics... Just started here and don't want to get outed already. Very nice by the way.
My opinion only... nope. Not inappropriate. From a purely technical standpoint, there's less 'skin' or detail visible here than in your friendly neighborhood JCPenney or Victoria's Secret catalog. Since the images are also post-processed, it's conceivable they could be considered even *less* graphic or prurient than those sources as well. I *liked* the use of photographic artistry in them also. I think it's safe to say that several of us, your friends, enjoyed them. So, you're sorta askin' a 'stacked jury.' ;-)
Your opinion, my opinion, etc.; all that aside, it really doesn't matter much if the prevailing opinion of those that own/run the house runs in another direction or to another extent. You'll have to decide for yourself if your 'right of freedom of expression' is a 'hill you wanna die on' or not, of course. I hope that you manage to find a middle ground that allows you to stay here, and still find a way to express yourself to at least some level of your satisfaction as well.
Then there's the separate issue of rights to underground distribution... ;-)
I will never get that "Guns, but no buns" policy...
It's pretty OK to show grinning people with full automatic guns, but one gets offended by a girl in lingerie. To exaggerate a little, me that sounds like killing is good, but making love is bad.
