i suppose the ideal thing to do is to replace all the unhealthy things you eat with healthy things (as much as is tolerable to you) and then gradually start making yourself quit eating before you are 100% stuffed, which is not ideal anyway. of course this isn't an easy thing to do, but it's called self-control and it's a must-have for anyone, really.

It's also so amazing how we all have suggestions of help for others but rarely follow them ourselves.

I think a problem for many people is deciding what they need to do, then when to put it into action! If you are upset with your weight, Lyle - then you need to do something about it today. Procrastinating will not solve the problem, just find an activity that gets you active and eat healthy!

Hello,, I think your as normal as anyone. Boredom and eating go hand in hand. The trick is finding some things, that you can eat that does not cause the weight gain but feeds the Oral habit. It's not about getting filled up, it's that habit you need to take care of. So,, I'm not suggesting stop eating, however maybe a carrot is the answer, or raw asparagus,, all of which may seem gross, but it takes care of the hand mouth thing, and actually may cause you to do so less. Discipline is key.

You also tend to enjoy those things more, when you go for longer stretches in between eating them. I get a big juicy sloppy Bacon double cheeseburger with homemade peanut oil deep fried French fries, once a month, from "Five Guys". I swear it's the best burger ever.

i noticed if u go a whole week with no sugar then at the end u will not even be able to drink 1 full soda or eat a candy bar. i think its like a adiction because thats wat it was like with me for a while wen i was in school and always goin for the vending machine. then i stopped and it was like a candy bar was to sweet all of a sudden.

The comment below is so true, about exercise. No one has time for it, but we always manage to make a few minutes, here or there for TV shows we like, restaurants we like to go to, games we like to play, you name it. The bottom line is "you make your time for what you want most". If your health is important to you, make an hour a day a priority for yourself. 1 hour out of 24. Considering what we expect from our bodies and put them through every day, giving back 1 hour is very, very little in return.
