Nice, I haven't done anything yet today either. I usually just do a home workout (something that is usually lacking) and don't do that much cardio. So yesterday I ran for the first time in like 2 years. I really have to do that more... but I might need a few things for my first few weeks to get through those runs.
Oxygen Tank
Lifecall
Last Will and Testament
Little Red wagon to pull my lifeless corpse back to my house....
Went for a short walk in the park. Harder than it looks though - heel to toe, back straight, gut in, shoulders back, stand straight, look up and ahead, tuck butt in. It's a lot to remember! I change things up by working on my swing. Think lacrosse but without padding ;)
Twas a bit crowded today so I just headed home. I'll probably go out again after dinner and head over the hill to watch the sun go down.
Anyone care to suggest weight training ideas? I get bored really fast. Walking suits me fine because of all the pretty clouds and wildlife and stuff to look at, but just doing pushups, bench pressing and lifting things for no apparent reason isn't quite doing the trick. Maybe I just need to lay a few courses of bricks, eh? :)
Well I'm gonna start P90X soon. Might be something to look at. Everyone I know who's done it is in great shape now. The videos are available to download from a torrent.
Monday: Full Body Dumbbell Workout (from the book Superior Dumbbell Workout by Coach Eddie Lomax (if you want the book i can upload it online for free and give you the link, i REALLY REALLY REALLY recommend it)
Everyday in the morning I start my exercise program by doing the twist for one minute, I then do five minutes of stretching followed by 4 minutes of weight lifting(not really heavy weights). I then do my type of quick short steps running mind-body exercise for 8 minutes. This is a really intense exercise and exhaust me in 8 minutes. I finish with a few minutes of slow meditative walking. I exercise again later in the morning with a slow meditative walk of about 15 minutes. And finally i do a ten minute fast meditative walk that lasts about 10 minutes before I am exhausted and so I then do a few minutes of slow meditative walking. I do the same routine everyday with my well trained intuition guiding me as to what I require to stay really healthy in mind, body and spirit.
