Dual monitors problem

ok so ive just got my second monitor,
now the problem is, i cant just drag something accross to the other screen it wont let me drag it any further then my mouse position, not only that but it wont let me move my mouse over to the second screen unless i have WoW open in window mode ( only tried wow so far, this may be hard to understand.
ive tried playing around with both desktop fusion and ultramon but neither seem to help,
i want to be able to say, just grab hold of winamp and drag it to the second screen, then at any point move my mouse onto the second screen to change song.

hope this is enough information.

EDIT: it will let me do exactly what i want with WoW but as soon as i try it with firefox or anything it wont let my mouse go as far as the second monitor.

Permalink Reply by Paul Adams on May 15, 2009 at 4:55am: well the smaller monitor is 1024x800 and the larger is 1024x1024. and thats the closest there gunna get to equal, and unfortunatly moving it up / down doesnt work either. hmmmf dunno, i guess ill have to live with it.
