Title says it all: "What is the best console in the history of consoles?"

I want to know your opinion, they're several choices out there, all consoles of course have their ups and downs, but which one struck you as being the best one ever? Did a certain console have a more defining experience than any other?

For me, I believe that the Sega Dreamcast was one of the greatest consoles ever. It was way ahead of it's time and should it have been introduced in the market against the Xbox 360 and PS3 (of course with improved graphics) I believe it would have taken a large market share.

You can tell today that consoles have been heavily influenced by the Dreamcast with it's Online Capabilities, and of course you can see the influence in the Xbox and Xbox 360's controllers. What most people don't know is that the Dreamcast was also the first console with motion controls, if you purchased the fishing rod for the console you would know that the fishing rod could be used on several different games and had accelerometers inside. Fishing Rod + Crazy Taxi = a Workout.

What's your opinion?

Thats a tough one.
I would have ti say Playstation 2
Reasons:
1. Titles, its has a huge number of titles
2. Grand Turismo, need i say more?
3. Out of all the consoles I tried, the controller (DualShock2(R)) is the best.
4. It was the first to incoorperate CD DVD and gaming
5. EYE-TOY its a laugh with some friends and a wery inovative way of cotrolling a game, sadly its never caught on and is now nothing more than a gimmick

There is many other reason but they are all not that serius, so il stop here.

I'm at a dead tie between NES and Dreamcast. The NES had probably the most games ever, and it was the first system I ever had. Where as the Dreamcast, though way ahead of its time, had a large selection of games that were fun and appealed to everyone, as well as a large selection of arcade to home titles that were very popular.

ps2 is probly the best, b/c it had to live up to the ps1's success. but i love my SNES and WII too much to put it #1.
my top 5classic: 1 snes(16-bit wonder!)
2NES(revived the industry)
3. atari 2600(started HOME consoles)
4. sega genesis(model 1 said 16-bit right on it, like its saying "IN YOUR FACE NINTENDO!")
5. ps1(if you consider it classic, if not, just insert sega master system)

top 5 current: 1.wii(free online, mario and zelda)
2.ps2(i still play the crap out of mine, and the daulshock 2 is probly the best controller ever made, and the large game selection (Guitar Hero 1, anyone?))
3.ps3(no RROD and free online)
4. PSP( gotta love portables)
5. 360(good online play)

systems hooked up:SNES, Atari 2600, PS2(i would have my PS1 hooked up, but ps2 is backwards compatible.),Wii.
