Reviews, News, and How To Geeks

Download Our Windows 7 Tips!

I have been a long time Magic player, but I stopped playing about a year ago. Since then I have been designing a card game called Geek Fight! where we put all of your favorite geek stereotypes in the ring and let them beat the snot out of each other. I have published the game, and we are getting ready to release set 2.

Anyway, I want to know what each of you play. I will start another topic where I just rattle on about Geek Fight! and why you should play it (card per card we are 1/2 the price or lower of other card games, and no random packaging).

Long time Magic player... but also went through a Huge Lord of the Rings TCG. Other than that I like to at least try all of the ones I can, looking forward to trying out Geek Fight.

Our site is www.geekfightbcg.com, and packs are on sale in the shop. Each one is fully playable as is too.

You know, I really did not specify the other card games I used to play. I was a fan of Hecatomb while it lasted, and I was a rep for Mystical Empire before the company that produced it pulled the plug. The rights are for sale, and if we see enough profit from sales, I think Mystical Empire might just be making a comeback...

Also there is a new game from Decipher called Fight Klub (don't know how good it will be). You can only buy it if you know someone in the mentor program. Just tell them Charon sent you.

I'm a typical magic player. I started back with 4th edition and then quit after Tempest. I tried out Vampire: The Masquerade (then called Jyhad) and Yu-Gi-Oh (ugh), but found my way back to Magic around Mirrodin. I've been doing Magic since.

I actually have a similar Magic history. I never tried Yu-Gi-Oh (fortunately).

Magic, no comic book or card shops in the area i moved to for work and no friends to play with = bummer.

No shops at all? That's terrible. You can try posting an add on Craigslist to see if you can find local games. Or you can try Magic Online. Best of luck either way.

I like MTG, I have played for about 11 years, but my love of indie games has overcome me. I will admit that some of the new sets have some good stuff though. The are giving the Saprolings some love in the latest set, and for the past few blocks.

I notice you are from Sweden. Have you tried Draim Arena? I heard it has been canceled, but the cards were breathtaking and it was definitely unique.
