Brown Coats

Browncoat is a term applied to fans of the short-lived television series Firefly. The name is based on a nickname for the Independent Faction from the series.[1]

A new movement has started on August 30, 2008 regarding fans trying to get the series back, or get a sequel to the Serenity (film). The flagship website is called www.savefirefly.org, doing several campaigns to get the show back, including sending e-mails to Fox.[1]

So, are we just a bunch of fans dedicated to saving Firefly? [b]No.[/b]

While I would love for the series to come back or for there to be a sequel that is not the purpose of this group. I am aiming this group to be more 'in the spirit' of the Brown Coats from the Firefly verse. This group is aimed at the geeks who wish to be independent thinkers and share a love for good sci-fi shows.

To be simple, the group will be what you make it.
