I'm a great fan of most real ales - especially stouts and milds. The north-east area of England (Newcastle/Tyneside/Northumberland/Durham/Cumbria) have quite a few independent breweries. Check ou the CAMRA website - www.camra.org.uk/

Warsteiner, Verum or Dunkel, it's awesome to me. If there's one dimension of my German roots to be proud of, it's the beer, definitely the beer.

I love beer. Stouts, lagers, ales, hefeweizens...pretty much anything that doesn't come from one of the giant American domestic breweries. My preference is dark beers, I'm quite partial to Guinness. Can't wait until the annual micro-brewers' expo next summer, hope I'll have the money for it again.

Beer is awesome. My favorite everyday beer? Guinness. My favorite special occasion beer? Lancaster Brewing Co.'s Strawberry Wheat Ale. I'm also a huge fan of the Church Brew in Pittsburgh, PA. I love their Pious Monk Dunkel.
