With the incoming USB 3.0 at speeds several times faster than FW800 and backwards compatible, does it really matter that the new macbooks don't have FW? It appears that Apple may be forward thinking on this and see it as a dying breed, and here's a thought, getting the choices of hardware specs down instead of adding to the growing complexity of choices? Any Thoughts....
What ever happened to firewire 3.2 (3200) I heard about earlier this year? I would more like to see that then a supposedly faster usb. Usb 2.0 is faster than firewire 400 in theory and on paper, but in reality of every day use usb 2.0 is not as fast as the 400. Firewire is superior to usb in transferring data. Bring firewire 3.2 up and running.
