Have you tried to remove the battery, then wait for a minute or so, and then putting it back?

If this does not work, something's wrong with your computer. Since it's a relatively new laptop, you probably still have manufacturer guarantee.

Same sort of thing just happened to my Acer desktop and I am freaking out as all of my work is on there and what I was just working on which was huge :/
