I've got an Acer 5920 with Vista SP1 and a 15.4" display and love it. Plan on getting a 22" or bigger display for it. Check my discussions I have one basically the same name as yours, just tonssss of info. Check it out! Comment it! I love acer, lets keep talkin. =)

I find that Acer Aspire production line is well supported amongst most linux distrobutions and is why I enjoy it. However I hate that fucking sticker on the back that voids the warranty. And I also hate the slide in trays for extra HDD in the M3100 as they are really horribly designed for adding new hard drives. Besides that its a nice system all up. I have a 22" inch wide screen.

My M1610 can fit about 4 HDD's, as far as I know. I'm more talented with software, not hardware.

Update= My warranty is probably voided with a different PSU, CPU, and GPU. lol

We use it for semi-mobile GIS, i.e., working from home or out-of-office location

So far i love acer. they have sleek looking designs. and good products. I love my dual 22" P221w monitors. and Ive been wanting to get the aspire one laptop. but i was waiting for the 6 cell 160gig drive verson to come out. and now its out im going to have to get it next... I saw the 120 verson at walmart last night and i was almost tempted to buy it right then and there. but i had to hold myself back.. even the box that it comes in is so small. its like smaller then a shoe box. I was like drolling over the glass case last night stairing at it and the photo tech lady came by and was like can i help you with a laptop and i was like no im just looking. and i stood there for another 5 or 10 minutes looking at it wishing the glass wasnt there so i could hold it. or at least touch it. maybe it was the fact that i was sticking my fingers through the holes in the glass casing the raised her attention. HEHEHE but i just wanted to touch the thing... man i should have gotten it. its even 50.00 less then what it use to be since the 160gig verson is out now.. i will have one soon though. and i'll let you all know how it is

I have an acer extensa 4420 laptop. I wanted a 14.1" laptop. This one gave me the best features for the money. I love everything about it. Simple and functional.
