We know that today peace cannot be found in any developed country, we are always plagued by themes such as double standards, injustices, wars and bad politics. The recent post by devil, http://geeks.pirillo.com/forum/topics/is-there-a-perfect-country?id.... Asks this question

Looking at America with their new president and his new visions for world peace that he cannot implement because he has to appease members that still live in the past whom cannot accept change.

Looking at my country (UK) there have been smears and slurs and dishonest dealings of members of parliament almost on a monthly basis, whether they have used taxpayers money on extravagant unnecessities second or third homes even charging for Porn...( yes that has happened recently) or the bad decisions that helped the economic downturn.

My point is that no country is perfect, i could talk about any single country and the faults and problems with its governance. Accepting the fact that these problems will affect some of us more than others, but ultimately they are there and have been there for ever it seems , i have reached a conclusion.

You have to live on a desert island to get away from these problems!

Carrying out some research mainly on the bbc i came across some tribes.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/tribe/tribes/penan/index.shtml

A quotation is;
"The Penan are a gentle and softly spoken people with a highly egalitarian society and little gender division. There's a headman, and respect is given to elders but there is no real hierarchy, just a strong communal bond, which manifests itself in a meticulous process of sharing. Nomadic Penan move in groups of up to 40 people, but groups form and split regularly as sago palm flour and game is sought from different areas in their territory (roughly 100 sq miles on average)."

Now there are many tribes like this dotted all over the world, all literally from desert islands or faraway places and i noticed one thing in common,
They all live without computers! Ok i meant modern technology.

So my warped conclusion is that one must give up technology, and worldly possessions and live a basic life such as the Penan above, where harmony not greed drives the society.

So this is the question i pose to you, would you give up technology, phones, internet, electricity etc all for peace?

Well this lust to obtain personal gains is reflected and emulated into governments,, too much greed and bad investments have resulted in an economic meltdown resulting in many a fatcat involved in the demise of the economy to end up with golden parachutes ( inflated leaving bonuses). They should be put into 15th century stocks and chains and have the public throw rotten eggs and veg at them!

I believe the big problem in all government country is money.

the poeple want money, it go to a charmain position and in 4 year the guy make for the all live no more need work heheheheh.

Technology is WAR.

All technology that we have was developed to make the atak and defence more efective, like computers, fuel, eletricity, or any technology, the first use is for war, and after come to the people.

I talk bad english to explain exactlly what I think about this, I hope we get a litte.

Interesting point actually.

Most of the foundations of the technology that we possess owes a lot of its influence to both the Second World War and the Cold War.

Honestly, I don't think I would be able to do it. I find peace when I'm using my electrical devices. Along with that, we have just grown to not having 100% peace in the world, that it's what we think is normal. If there was total peace, I think we would all go insane until the next generation comes back in, and ruins it all back up again.

I think you have it a little wrong. I think it's mainly religion that leads us into most of our problems, although note that I used the word "mainly." The Catholics hate the Protestants, the Jews hate the Muslims, the Baptists hate... well everyone.
The only time you'll really hear about a technology war is when you come across a forum shared by PC and Mac user or PS3 and Xbox 360 players. And anyways, there are just too damn many of us polluting to forsake technology now... how will we cook our food? How will we light up our houses? etc etc
The only time we will ever come close to experiencing some sort of peace is when we decide that independence and uniqueness are no longer important personality traits to have. It's the common mentality that we need to be different and stand out from one another that lead us into this moral corruption. Most of it is being orchestrated by mass media and religion (i.e We are different from them god damns the infidels), you need to have your own style, there was even a word for people who tried to be like others that children used to make fun of each other "posers."
The point that was missed entirely and completely forgotten about is that it's okay to be like everyone else, to work with others towards a common goal, the only time it's not is when the herd is gravitating towards self-destruction or mass genocide.
