If OSX is so good as many people here preach( for want of better words), then why won't apple release a version of their software for PC's? They had an opportunity to gain % market share after the much publicised 'flop' that was vista.
Most PC geeks like myself have self built, modified, customised, upgraded, tinkered, etc. PC's so will never pay the apple premium for inferior hardware and quite a dull looking case.

With an apple if you want an upgrade you have to buy another apple! Apologies for making this a rant and coming back to the subject, i can use Linux or my 'flawed' windows that blue screened 60 times whilst rebooting 40 extra times and caught more viruses then i've had hot meals in my life whilst spontaneously combusting, so the mac ads would have you believe. But cannot use Mac OsX so have to listen to people that sold their cars to get an apple mac...
sorry again for the rant...

any ways why isn't apple porting osx to pc's when Microsoft could have said pc only to Ms office?

Well, the concept of OSX is to work with hardware that is being manufactured by the same manufacturer.
Windows is optimized to work with every hardware that is PC and even Mac.

Optimizing an OS to 1 type of hardware makes it run good.
Optimizing OS for every hardware available out there makes the OS confused sometimes.

If Microsoft will be manufacturing their own PCs, I'm sure that Windows will be running even better.

that my friend is true.

unbelievably true.

Besides, Apple would go bust. OS X IS WHY people still buy Macs. (+ great design + hardware that works well together, that's well tested)
Also, OS X would suck on a PC. It would be like Windows.

how does an intel based pc differ from a mac?

Reply to This

It doesn't. It's the BIOS that's different I think. Oh and BTW I'm switching to Mac :)

Reply to This

Yes, there's no BIOS on the Mac.

BIOS is so 80s. Macs have EFI, which is 21st century top-notch. Everything's configurable from inside the OS, not from some keyboard only no-gui thing.

They don't differ much. They are more or less the same (if you don't care about the design, which no PC company can beat, build quality, which is better than most PC manufacturers and better parts than what most PC manufacturers use).

fucking fanboy

those are the exact words that popped into my head.

Fuck off.

If you have read anything else i've written, you will know I'm not a fanboy.

Angel, let me ask you this: Why does Windows run better on a Mac?

Okay, I do agree now that the better parts and build quality is pure BS. (The magsafe and the mouse both suck so hard I can't imagine.
My MagSafe adapter broke after 9 months of everyday usage, fortunately it was covered under warranty so I got a new one for free.)
But, that design and EFI thing is actually true.

Macs boring to look at? Why, tell me why, should a computer be interesting to look at. Nice to look at, Macs do that. Besides, when you whip out a MacBook at a public place, you will most certainly get more people looking at it than a "standard" PC.

Angel, all you have done so far is said bad, horrible stuff about Macs, and now you are saying they are good computers?

And that makes you NOT a fanboy? What are you now, a hypocrite?

Besides, learn some grammar since your posts are really hard to read and fully understand.

And, as i've said before, i've written a lot about Macs, you should read them. I'm not always as generous as I was writing that fanboyistic (is that even a word? probably not, but you get the idea) comment in this thread.

I've said that Macs suck. I've said that PCs suck. I've said both in one post. Macs have problems, just as Dell has problems.

Ok, now I have to go. I will write more later.
hahahahaha!... harsh and unnecessary but, hilarious!
