yeah,it's true but it can only support up to 192GB,even the Mac Pro can support that, but the mac pro is based on what RAM is available right now.the dell has only 6 DIMM Slots and the Mac Pro has 8,so i think, for now, there will be no such thing, but later on yeah.
Agreed...I'm running 4 GB now, and thought that was insane. but really....I remember in the late 90s thinking ..."how could I ever need over 128MB of RAM?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!
there's no RAM available yet to get that much,it only states that it can support un to 192GB of RAM.even the Mac Pro can support up to that much RAM,but the Mac Pro is Based on The RAM available this date.and the Dell has only 6 DIMM Slots and the Mac Pro has 8,they both have Intel Xeon Processors so it really can handle that much RAM.but still the 192GB is still not available now.
that is the maxed out dude, nothing wrong with it,yeah, now it's only available for 24GB coz there's no such RAM that has more than 4GB of RAM/Slot now.but in the future yeah, there would be.the Mac Pro can support higher than that though.because the dell has only 6 slots of DIMMs so it can only have 32GB of RAM DIMMs per slot, which is equivalent to the 192GB of RAM,but the Mac Pro has 8 slots so it can support up to 256GB of RAM if the 32GB RAM DIMMs will be available.the Mac Pro RAM is only maxed out to 32GB coz we have only have a maximum of 4GB RAM DIMM available on the market.
