I think Clinton did a good job, and so did Kennedy, but my favorite one is Lincoln. I think that he had allot of really great ideas that were on the right track, just the wrong century. I think if he had been a president in the 1900's he would have been able to do allot more for this country then he already has.
Franklin Roosevelt, followed by Lincoln, Washington and Truman
The single worst was Dubya, followed by Warren G Harding George H W Bush
and Ronnie Reagan, who had most people totally fooled
Personally...would be FDR. Brought this country through one of the worst times in its history. Could also empathize with the "common" man. Following this would be the earlier Roosevelt...since he took on big business and attempted to created a better country than what he had before he was elected.
The two worst in my opinion: george w bush jr and Herbert Hoover. bush had no morals/ethics/intelligence...while Hoover was just a lousy leader. Both left this country broken.
Everything I have read about Hoover himself points out someone who had no business being president (not holding a court martial for MacArthur for opening fire on former vets in DC during the depression and taking the blame himself)...but was very intelligent and likable.
LOL Reagan is one of the main reason why we are in deficit spending that continued until Clinton balanced the budget. Then Bush started all over. Reagan, Bush I and Bush II loved cutting taxes and increasing spending leading to massive deficit spending. They are the primary reason why the U.S. is in the financial crisis that we are in today. Republicans like to say they are conservatives, but in reality they are the biggest spending in history. They just do not want to pay their bills when they come due.
Our U.S Constitution has served us well for many years, despite some of the above trying to circumvent it's provisions. My vote goes to the father of this great experiment: James Madison.
I believe historically (not rewritten history) each President seems to have been the right man for the times. Our country has been very lucky and blessed with our leadership. This is why we have remained the most influential nation in the world. Only in recent times has our society allowed/encouraged so much open disrespect for the Office, which is fueled by the media with the purpose of influencing our opinions.
Oh for sure Clinton, and both Teddy Roosevelt and Franklin Delano Roosevelt
TR did alot of good for the USA and FDR fought a world war, and beat a depression, and Clinton balanced a crappy budget
CLINTON!
During his time in office the economy rocked and no one had a hard time finding a job. He balanced the budget and did it all while playing a sax. I only wish he was still ruling America now. We wouldn't be in the mess we're in now. When Hillary ran I voted for her.
Obama is ok but my preference will always be a Clinton. ;)
