Ja, I have 8 USB ports on my tower, no PS2 ports, plus 2 more USB ports on my LCD monitor, so obviously I use USB (a USB keyboard and another USB port for my wireless mouse cradle). Most modern towers, notebooks, tablets and netbooks don't even come with PS2 ports now-days.
True, but PS2 ports are limited to the types of extra keys you can have and for example there was this logitech gaming Keyboard (Model G15, Here is a link) that has a little display to cycle through system information and core and graphic temperature, of course all this is only possible with USB.
On the bright side all macs come with built in bluetooth (as well as other laptops) that you can use with a bluetooth mouse and keyboard without the need for a dongle.
I use USB because most non OEM motherboards have oodles of them and I learned that USB storage is synonymous with short life span. PS2 doesn't seem to offer much in line of performance products either which doesn't serve me much as a gamer.
They are working on 3.0!!!!!! 4.8 Gbit/s (600 MB/s) transfer speed and an intelligent power source that cuts power to the usb when the device signals that charging it finished
PS/2 I use for my old keyboards, but only because my old towers only had 2-4 USB ports and I needed to keep those free. But now that I've got 8 USB ports, I can now afford to use 2 for a mouse and keyboard. Now all I gotta do is get a decent mouse and keyboard XD. The ones I have now use PS/2.
yeah, i understand where you guys are coming from. ps/2 is almost dead, and my new computer thats coming doesnt have ps/2 ports. shame, i liked the green and purple fellas....
On the computer that I am typing at right now I am using three different type of connections: PS2, USB and 2.4GHz wireless transmitter. I have a total of three keyboards and four mice.
And to add to the data input connections I also have three microphones attached to my computer via my sound card, USB and Bluetooth. I think it is cool that I can use my cell phone's Bluetooth headset (Cardo S-800) as a headset and microphone for voice dictation and voice control commands.
