Eh, I would say Avast and Ad-Aware. If you are going to fix computer errors, i recomend tuneup 2009

When you have crap on your machine the FIRST THING you have to do before ANY scan is turn off system restore. If you don't do this the system will become re-infected.
Malwarebytes do a great free download to clear crap up (google it), spyware search and destroy, SDFIX is superb and getting rid of crap as well. Make sure your system is service packed fully as well.
When running any of these programs make sure you boto into SAFE MODE FIRST o the little buggers dont active on startup!

Gordon, I forgot about SDFix, save my butt once a year or so ago from a Russian E.T. Phone Home Trojan. Good thinking!

You have to first turn off the System Restore feature in Windows so that it doesn't have anywhere to hide.

I downloaded and installed SuperAntiSypware. Ran it and then ran my AV against it. Rebooted and then ran both again. It worked out just fine.

You've got to remember, after your machine is clean to turn the System Restore feature back on.

Avast!, Malware bits - anti malware, Spybot - Search and destroy.

Mateus, SpyBot isn't as good as it once was a few years ago. SuperAntiSpyware is the way to go.
