Well, I still have to deal with pre-broadband speeds when I'm at the countryside. It is a real pain. It's a mobile connection that is shared through a router throughout the house and there are up to three users at a time. It is impossible to do... Anything.
It is HORRIBLE. Just so horrible. I have to watch youtube videos on my iPhone there (which goes up to 3.2 Mbps).
It's not that my dad, who lives there, can't afford a better connection. It's because that's the only option. No satellite, no faster mobile broadband, no DSL, nothing.
Guess I would not be that frustrated as I would have never experienced broadband connection anyway. However it's practically not possible to enjoy that many things that we have now like social networking, photo uploads and emailing and even videos....
id start the youtube vids I want to watch, pause em, check my mail, and then check back when the youtube vids were fully loaded then watch em..id figure out ways to work around the slow connection time
If there really would not be another solution then to use dial-up, then i would patiently use it... better a slow connection then no connection at all.
but i wouldnt be happy with it, i mean, like you all do, i use internet for almost everything.. if my connection fails i'm lost...........
