So far, I installed Chrome, VB Express and C# Express on Windows7, and everything worked like a charm! No problems yet...

oh great! it sounds like a fair few apps will work!

i am keen to beta test windows 7, but was debating whether to do it on my primary machine in case i lost too much daily usablilty, but it sounds like it could well be better than i imagined.

I plan to install 7 at the weekend, so ill post my feedback/review next week sometime.

thanks for your replies guys! much appreciated!

Chris

Pretty much for me now, that all Vista drivers and apps work with Windows 7. But before you get those stuff, I would suggest you get the bug fixes installed so it works right.

Hiya

which bug fixes are you talking about? i have the 7000build iso which i will clean install. Most reports iv read are of a smooth install.

are there bugs that i should be aware of?

thanks for your help and opinion. peace!

(MP3 Corruption-Hotfix can be downloaded for here x86 x64)
(Internet Explorer 8 Beta opening slow-when UAC is on with Hamachi network driver installed)
(Gadgets not working with UAC turn off-Know bug only fix is to downgrade to a lower verison of the windows 7 sidebar or you can use vista sidebar both can be download here GADGETS FIX)
(Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing slight lag-only fix i found was to disable it)
(when playing music in windows media player and installing some thing that has a heavy load your music skips)

Hey justin,

iv been running the beta for a couple days now and have had none of the problems listed above thankfully, thanks though.

im sure ill find several bugs of my own, but so far so good to be honest! the two software issues iv had are with virtual cd/dvd drive softwares. also, im not sure that the uninstall feature of se7en is working properly either. but overall most software iv tried seems to work (nero, itunes, firefox, avg, office 2007, and a few others.

is se7en good enough for you to consider upgrading when it comes out?
