What makes men so competitive and why??????

All of the men that I have ever known in my life were very competitive. They learn it at an early age it seems. Watching my sons grow up I saw it first hand. Between men, that is a good thing but let a woman walk into the circle and it is hell to pay.

There must be too many male hormones running through my body because I am a bit competitive also. However, I do like to give praise to people for a job well done.

What I don't get is when someone, anyone, accomplished something worthy in life, why it is so difficult for some people to just say, man, you did a great job? I am proud of you.

Women are better at giving praise it seems to me.

Now, if y'all see this differently, would just set me straight?

It has appeared to me to be the other way around, in my case. Me competitive over a man?
Not in this lifetime. If he wants someone else, I will drive him there. :)

I think men have problems admitting that someone else is better then them. Or want to be know it alls. Intelligence to me is knowing that someone is smarter then you and listening what they have to say even if you don't agree. Taking what they say and deciding for yourself. Whether at that point it is fact or fiction or whether you should research it. But that is just my take on this thing.

My brother is the king of this situation or men that don't use instructions or ask for directions. They always know how to put it together. And they also always know where they are going. I think very few men are actually humble. And I think women are way more so. :) Which is why Women in my opinion learn better in school.; ▶ Reply to This

Dad's are the ones who make their sons so competitive. I remember now that my boys dad always instilled in them winning when they were in sports.

And here I was as the mom saying, it doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you have fun son.
