I guess this is where my topic, should go seeing as i do my webdesign on a linux machine...

Anyhoo

I made a post similar to this a while ago, however this is specificly directed at one engagement...

A local business (cafe/coffee shop) has asked me to develop a website for them, nothing fancy, just about 5 or 6 static pages, not even database integration...

What do you guys think would be a reasonable price bracket to charge? Bearing in mind i may have to do some graphic work for it. Im gonna go down there at some point and discuss a price for it and i want to charge something that isnt over the top for what im doing, but is also fair to me...

Could someone advise here?

oky doky I'd say about $600 for a quote due to having to do custom graphics from scratch, but if you have template's e.t.c. then you could drop it $500.

If you do a good job they wont mind paying $600 and you can always offer a 1 week warranty, so that if they realise they missed out something BIG with the textual content ( Not the formating ) then you can offer to change it for free, just an idea.

sure sounds good to me, also the whole thing is from scratch pretty much although what im thinking of doing is seeing as i just have a few HTML pages that look nice but no way of editing the content apart from editing the HTML page im thinking of turning the webpages into a wordpress theme and have wordpress do the work behind the scenes...
