Trance & techno, music or not?

Hi!:)
I wondered what you think about trance and techno!
Is it music in your ears or is it just computer crap?
Tell me about it!

The reason for me to asking you if you think that trance & techno is music for you,
is that if I started this discussion in a norwegian page, almost 60% of the people would tell me to go to h.ll because they don't think that it's music, so :P; ▶ Reply to This

Metal seems to thrive in cold dark environments. Oliver is dead right though, too loud and I won't stick around long.

Comedy metal like Dragonforce is good fun. Techno? It was alright during the 90s I guess. Where's the fun though? I'd class it as music for the skills involved. It might all be computers but that takes a while to learn, just like any other instrument.; ▶ Reply to This

If you're in the scene, being a DJ seems like a natural path to follow.
Ha, and back in the days DJ's were weird people who liked music in a weird way
Back then you would have to be a nerd to become a DJ
Nowadays everybody wants to be a DJ,
Nowadays everybody wants to be that nerd,
It sickens me, I hate those smart asses who think that DJ is an easy way to get laid.
Well .. Get a life!
If you're not in it for the love of the music, would you please fuck off!

..But still, I listen to hiphop and metal now and than.

Plain and simple, I love the whole energy that some trance songs can produce. Look at Cafe Del Mar by Energy 52 for example. Listen to Music for the Jilted Generation from The Prodigy (who are awesome) for an idea of a techno/rave masterpiece. The songs are also rather complex.
